STUDENT GOALS FOR CTE EXERCISE SCIENCE 1- INTRODUCTION TO EXERCISE TECHNIQUE
1) Be proficient in demonstrating and executing all movements learned.
2) Be aware of primary and secondary muscles used in all movements learned.
3) Understand common injury sites and how to prevent injuries through proper technique.
4) Create a foundation for Ex Sci 2
STUDENT GOALS FOR CTE EXERCISE SCIENCE 2 - INJURY PREVENTION/STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING
1) Be able to identify specific injury sites for each sport/position/gender/individual and know how to prevent those injuries.
2) Understand the basic physiology of exercise.
3) Understand the basics of programming exercise for in-season/off-season/general population programs.
4) Have the base knowledge needed to be a personal trainer.
5) Be set up to pass the NSCA-CPT exam if desired.
